Another Eden Begins Three Eras Across Time and Space
The present Kingdom of Miglance, the sky city of Elzion, and antiquity under the four great elementals.
Another Eden Begins is a time-traveling JRPG. Official copy is consistent across Studio Prisma, Nintendo, and Steam: you travel freely between three periods once the campaign opens them — antiquity, the present, and the future. This page is the map of those eras. It is not a spoiler atlas of every dungeon. For the six-chapter opening you can play today, stay on the demo walkthrough. For how fights work when a symbol catches you, stay on combat.
The story still begins in one village. Aldo and Feinne live in Baruoki. The Beast King takes Feinne. Aldo pursues into the Moonlight Forest and is thrown 800 years forward. That jump is the thesis. After it, the game is no longer a single-town JRPG. It is a campaign that asks you to hold three calendars in your head at once.
The present — 300 AD, Kingdom of Miglance
The English official site: 300 years since the founding of the Kingdom of Miglance, this is the time of Aldo. Human society relies heavily on a form of crystalized energy known as prisma. The same paragraph asks whether humanity has the right to claim it. That question is flavor until the plot makes it a wound; treat it as world texture, not as a crafting recipe.
Baruoki is the home you lose. Miglance is the kingdom that frames knights, paladins, and the Beast King conflict. Bertrand’s official blurb calls him the former knight once known as the Shield of Miglance. Anabel is heir to the first great paladin. Helena is the steel-clad queen who reaches across prejudice. Those companion lines are how the present era announces itself in the roster: swords, shields, priests, and a crystal economy.
The demo is built to start here. You learn field movement, symbol encounters, and the command window in a town that still looks like a town. Do not rush past NPCs on the first pass. The present exists so the future feels like a theft.
The future — 1,100 AD, Elzion
Official English copy: after an incident that left the planet’s soil ruined and radiated, humanity escaped to the skies and built the Shining City of Elzion. The floating metropolis is a beacon of peace that still casts a bitter shadow.
This is where the party starts looking like a party. The well-known Part 1 opening brings in Amy, a hunter whose prey is the source of her suffering, and Riica, an android whose mission is to be helpful. Cetie works for the Elzion Judicial Bureau. Renri is an elite investigator with her own sense of justice. Suzette is the self-made princess of darkness. Future-era kits lean toward hunters, androids, and bureau agents rather than Miglance steel.
Elzion is also where the HUD in official screenshots shows a denser city: banners, walkways, a minimap that actually has streets. If the present taught you to talk to people, the future teaches you to read a skyline. The six-chapter trial is expected to reach this city. It is not expected to finish every Elzion side street. Leave a clean save at a chapter boundary so save transfer can carry story progress and character stats into the 17 September campaign.
Antiquity — 20,000 BC, the Palsifal Kingdom
Official English copy: humans of this era walk hand in hand with nature, protected by the four great elementals. Somewhere, the troubled King Palsifal builds a tower to carry out an experiment wholly unnatural.
Japanese official copy names the era as the Palsifal dynasty (パルシファル王朝) and notes that people live on the blessings of spirits. The tower is the image you should remember. It is the opposite of Elzion’s floating city: earth, spirits, and a king who wants something the elements did not offer.
The demo covering chapters 1–6 is not a full antiquity tour. Do not hunt King Palsifal’s tower inside the trial and then assume the wiki omitted a map. Antiquity is a full-game era. When it opens, crafting is the system that cares: weapons, armor, and food from different eras. A recipe that wants antiquity ore is a recipe you cannot finish in Baruoki.
Spirit-and-element language also colors several companions. Gariyu wields a divine inferno. Yuna is a shrine maiden who controls the weather. Melina is a missionary from the west with a magical hammer. Those kits may spend time in antiquity even if their blurbs do not stamp a date on the portrait. Confirm join timing in-game; this page will not invent chapter numbers.
How travel actually works
Studio Prisma’s system copy: travel freely between three time periods on a journey through time and space. Nintendo repeats the same three names. There is no published list of time-gate puzzles, no public timetable of when each era unlocks after chapter 6, and no official statement that you can visit antiquity from the title screen of the demo.
Practical habits:
- Finish the in-game tutorial in the present before you treat Elzion as a sandbox.
- When a new era opens, walk it. The cat catalog and era-based crafting only work if you actually go there — see crafting.
- Encounter, character, and kinship quests often belong to a person and an era. Skipping the era skips the person.
- New Game+ sends you back through those calendars with kept strength. The three-era map is the board those ten-plus endings play on.
What this wiki will not draw
We will not post unverified dungeon maps, chest GPS, or a fake “optimal era order.” We will not import the original mobile game’s later continents as if they were Begins DLC. Begins is a premium campaign with a closed 19-person roster plus optional DLC packs. The original’s live-service geography is a different product — Begins versus the original.
Nintendo’s Switch 2 Edition page lists 4K support and up to 60 FPS. World geometry does not change between Switch and Switch 2; fidelity does. File sizes and the $5 Upgrade Pack live on editions. The Switch 2 trailer itself sits on the release-date page.
Sibling guides: Getting Started, the demo walkthrough, quests, and controls. If you only remember three dates, remember 300, 1100, and 20,000 BC. Everything else in Another Eden Begins hangs off those three clocks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How many time periods are in Another Eden Begins?
Three: the present (300 AD, Kingdom of Miglance), the future (1100 AD, Elzion), and antiquity (20,000 BC, Palsifal). Official sites all use that trio.
Does the demo include antiquity?
Official trial notes only promise main story chapters 1–6. That opening is the Baruoki-to-Elzion wound. Do not expect a full antiquity clear inside the demo.
What is prisma?
Official present-era copy: a form of crystalized energy that human society relies on. It is world-building, not a published crafting node list.
Who is King Palsifal?
The troubled king of antiquity who builds a tower for an unnatural experiment. That is the official one-liner. This page does not invent his boss fight.
Does Switch 2 change the world layout?
Nintendo's Switch 2 Edition page lists enhanced graphics with 4K support and up to 60 FPS. It does not list extra maps. SKUs are on editions.
Where do companions sit on this map?
The companion roster groups names by era where the official blurbs make that easy. Quests that deepen those bonds are on quests.
