Another Eden Begins Party Building and Role Synergy

Four slots, three jobs, and the quests that make a line more than a screenshot.

Party Building

Official combat copy for Another Eden Begins is blunt: command battles reward a party built around roles and synergies. Attackers, supporters, and healers are the three words Wright Flyer uses. Chain skills exist so successive strikes can happen. Another Force exists so a filled gauge can halt enemy actions while your line unloads. This page turns those sentences into a party-building habit. For the battle flow itself, keep the combat guide open. For names and voice credits, use the companion roster.

The campaign is single-player. You are not theory-crafting against a live PvP ladder. You are building a line that survives symbol encounters on the field and then wins the command window that follows.

Start with three jobs, not nineteen names

A workable default before 17 September 2026:

  • Attacker — Aldo is the guaranteed sword. Gariyu is the published fire mage. Cyrus and Shion are samurai-shaped slash threats. Cetie and Renri are future investigators if you want a second physical body.
  • Supporter — Riica’s “be helpful” blurb, Yuna’s weather, Melina’s missionary hammer, and Suzette’s dark-mage joke all point at kits that exist to set up someone else’s damage.
  • Healer — Mariel’s priest line is the cleanest official healer signal. Anabel and Bertrand read as paladin and shield; they may cover, mitigate, or heal, but you should confirm in the command list instead of assuming a Holy trinity from another JRPG.

If a battle feels slow, you are probably missing a supporter who enables chain skills. If you wipe, you are probably missing a healer or a shield. If the Another Force gauge never fills, you are not attacking enough — the gauge is fed by your own hits, not by standing still. That last point is expanded on the combat page.

The pre-release tier list and party compositions repeat these roles with example lines. Treat both as previews. Kits can change in launch patches, and this wiki will not pretend a closed 19-person box has a frozen gacha meta.

Demo parties versus full-game parties

The demo only contains chapters 1–6. You will not have the full 19 on the first afternoon. Build around whoever the story actually gives you. The expected opening still introduces Amy and Riica in the future city of Elzion; that pair plus Aldo is already an attacker-plus-utility core. Do not reset the demo to hunt a “perfect” four. Story progress and character stats can transfer — wasting hours on a fantasy roster is worse than finishing chapter 6 with a messy but living party. The demo walkthrough and save-transfer steps are the practical pair.

Quests that change how a character plays

Official system text names encounter quests, character quests, and kinship quests. Kinship quests unlock when you forge a deep connection. That is a relationship gate, not a battle command. If two characters have overlapping elements but no kinship, you still run them together; you simply may not see their extra story. Party building should not wait on kinship. Clear the fight first, then go back for the extra scenes.

New Game+ keeps character strength. That is the long-term reason to invest in a balanced line instead of a one-map specialist. Ramiu’s role as a guide for that second journey is covered on New Game+. Do not spend a serial code trying to “pull” her into Begins; those codes belong to the original game and are listed on the serial codes hub.

A session checklist

  1. Look at the command window. If every skill is a damage button, add a healer or supporter from the roster.
  2. Trigger a chain once on purpose so you see the successive-strike prompt. If it never appears, you are missing a synergy the combat guide describes.
  3. Fill Another Force once per tough fight. If the gauge is still empty at the end, you spent the fight defending.
  4. After the fight, note who needed a character quest. Do those between chapters, not in the middle of a dungeon if you are transferring a demo save.

Sibling pages on this hub: the characters overview and the companion roster. When you want hardware instead of roles, jump to system requirements. When you want the first-hour install path, return to Getting Started. A party that can attack, enable, and recover will still be the right party when the credits roll and New Game+ asks you to do it again with more than ten endings on the table.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many characters are in a battle party?

Official screenshots show four battlers with individual HP and MP. Build around that window: at least one attacker, one supporter, and one healer.

Should I wait for Ramiu before making a team?

No. Ramiu is tied to New Game+. Demo and first-clear parties do not need her.

Is there a best team before launch?

There is a best *shape*: attacker, supporter, healer. Named rankings live on the tier list hub as a preview only.

Do kinship quests change combat?

Official text presents them as relationship content unlocked by deep connections. Build the party for the command window first; run kinship for story.

Can I import a mobile team?

No. Begins is a separate premium product with a 19-person roster. See Begins versus the original.
