Another Eden Begins Editions, Boxes, and the Upgrade Pass
Digital worldwide on 17 September 2026; Japan physical the same day; western boxes planned for 2027.
Another Eden Begins is one campaign sold in several SKUs. The digital launch is 17 September 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. Some Steam pages list 16 September by timezone; that is the same unlock, not a separate build. Japan also gets physical cards on that date. Aksys Games plans a western physical edition in 2027. This page is the SKU sheet. Dates and demo policy live on the release-date page and demo news.
The trailer below is the official Special Collection Box item video from Wright Flyer Studios. It is a hardware-and-box look, not a combat lesson. Combat stays on the combat guide.
Digital prices
Published storefront bands:
- Nintendo Switch 2 Edition — about $44.99 / 5,480 yen including tax / TWD 1,090 / HKD 274.
- Nintendo Switch and Steam — about $39.99 / 4,980 yen including tax / TWD 990 / HKD 249 / about 128 CNY on some Steam regions.
- Upgrade Pass — moves a purchased Switch copy to the Switch 2 Edition. Official copy describes that path; it does not merge Steam and Nintendo libraries.
Nintendo’s US listings put Switch digital at $39.99 and Switch 2 digital at $44.99. Deku Deals records those MSRPs through early September 2026. A Switch eShop listing also reports a download size around 3.6 GB — useful when you are weighing an SD card, not a PC GPU. PC specs remain on system requirements.

Japan physical lineup
Japan physical is Switch and Switch 2 only. Steam has no box. Official Japan list prices:
- Standard — 5,480 yen (Switch 2) / 4,980 yen (Switch).
- Collection Box — 10,480 yen (Switch 2) / 9,980 yen (Switch).
- Special Collection Box — 20,480 yen (Switch 2) / 19,980 yen (Switch).
The Special Collection Box video is why this page exists as its own URL: collectors needed a place that is not buried inside launch-date prose. Store-specific preorder bonuses (animate tapestries, Amazon postcard sets, and similar) are listed on the official store page and change by retailer. Confirm the current list at official links before you treat a 2026 April table as still in stock.
Early-bird serial codes for the original Cat Beyond Time and Space game are tied to purchase, with tighter rules on Japanese Switch downloads versus Steam website claims. Codes never go into Begins itself.
What is not a separate SKU
- The six-chapter demo is free. It is not an edition.
- DLC Character Packs are add-ons. Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and the Season Pass go on sale 17 September 2026; Vol. 3–5 later in 2026.
- Tokyo Game Show 2026 (17–21 September) hosts a booth demo and giveaways. That is an event, not a SKU.
If you are choosing hardware today: Switch if you want handheld and a cheaper tag; Switch 2 if you already live on that dock and want the Edition card; Steam if you want the folder-based save copy and a pad on PC. Sibling updates: release date, DLC packs, and demo news. Start playing from Getting Started.
