Published Steam minimum and recommended numbers, plus what they mean before you install the demo.

System Requirements

These figures come from the Steam store page for Another Eden Begins (app 4163960). They apply to the Windows build. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 have no PC-style spec sheet; if you are on those, skip this page and read release date and editions instead. The full game launches 17 September 2026. The demo that opened 2 September 2026 is the best real-world test of a machine that sits near minimum.

Minimum

  • OS: Windows 11
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2300X / Intel Core i3-8100
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 460 / Intel Arc A380 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750
  • DirectX: 11
  • Storage: 10 GB
  • Target: 30 FPS at 1280×720, Low preset

Windows 11 is the listed OS. A laptop still on Windows 10 that ran the original Another Eden PC port is not proof. The original’s store page asked for Windows 10 and Intel HD Graphics; Begins does not. Budget 10 GB plus extra for Windows pagefile and the demo folder you may keep until transfer day — see save transfer.

The GTX 750 / RX 460 class is a low-preset 720p30 card. If that is your GPU, install the demo first. Six chapters of field movement and command battles will tell you more than a forum “it should be fine.”

  • OS: Windows 11
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 / Intel Core i5-8400
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 470 / Intel Arc A580 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
  • DirectX: 11
  • Storage: 10 GB
  • Target: 60 FPS at 4K, High preset

RAM does not increase at recommended. GPU and the resolution target do. A GTX 1060 aiming at 4K60 High is an optimistic official line; if 4K is not a requirement, cap the internal resolution in-game once settings exist and enjoy the command window. Steam lists full controller support and recommends a pad. Keyboard binds are not published; controls refuses to invent them.

Steam Deck and laptops

Steam still lists Deck compatibility as unknown. Official demo-transfer steps for Deck exist anyway, which is a strong hint the trial at least boots there. Treat Deck as unverified for the full game until Valve or WFS change the badge. Use the demo as the test, then follow the Desktop Mode folder copy.

Laptops should watch two things the spec sheet does not: thermals in long cutscenes, and whether an iGPU is pretending to be an Arc A380. If the device cannot hold 720p30 in the first Elzion map, stop buying cosmetic DLC fantasies and look at Switch.

What specs do not tell you

They do not tell you party strength. They do not tell you whether New Game+ is worth a second weekend. They do not replace Getting Started or combat. They tell you whether the field will stutter before Aldo reaches the Moonlight Forest.

Sibling tool: save transfer. Storefronts: official links. If Steam edits these numbers before 17 September, this page will follow the store, not a screenshot of an older build.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Can I run Begins on Windows 10?

Steam lists Windows 11. The original game listed Windows 10. Do not assume they match. Use the demo as the test.

How much disk space do I need?

10 GB listed, plus room for the demo folder until you transfer. Do not delete SaveDataDemo until the full game has accepted it.

Is a controller required?

Steam recommends one and lists full controller support. Keyboard users must use in-game config; no public key table exists yet.

Does 8 GB RAM really cover 4K recommended?

That is the published number. Close a browser if you are on 8 GB and targeting High.

Where do Switch players go?

Skip this page. Use release date and save transfer.
